Kommst du glücklich um die Eck'en, bleibst du nicht im Kothe stecken, fällst du nicht in 'n Dieffenbach, frisst dich doch der Wolff noch nach.
Ein um das Jahr 1840 bekannter, gegen vier Professoren, die als Examinatoren nicht beliebt waren, gerichteter Spruch berliner Studenten. Kothe starb zuerst, Dieffenbach und Eck im Jahre 1848 und dreissig Jahre später, am 30. December 1878, Wolff, welcher, als er die Verse las, bemerkte: »Der Wolf frisst nur Schafe.«
